Traveling and family

It is not officially the weekend, but it is hump day and I will be enjoying some family time.  We are driving to Houston today for a great celebration then back home tomorrow to begin our family Christmas.  I'm ready to wind down and relax for a few days.  Have a very Merry Christmas!

Small bedroom...ideas?

I am trying to come up with some simple, small bedroom ideas and love these.  Master or guest suite!

Do you have any ideas?  We are trying to furnish a new, small home and give it an inviting feel!

Happy weekend DIY project

Bring a bit of the heavens down to snowy earth with stars fashioned from ordinary garden stakes. To determine how many feet of lights you will need, first decide the size and number of stars you would like to make, and then add the lengths of each of the stakes required.  Click here for simple directions.
Have a great weekend!

Wisteria Outlet

I have blogged before about how happy I am that we live near the Wisteria Outlet!  It has moved to a bigger and better location and is full of beautiful things.  Take a look.

If you live in the D/FW area it is worth a trip to the outlet.  Here is the new location information.

White holiday decor

I am always drawn to white interiors, even when it comes to holiday decorating.  Love the flocked trees, white candles and crystal accessories.

Etsy Friday Favorite

I was drawn to Karen Fields Gallery on Etsy because of her original, contemporary artwork and colorful palette.  I love the bold flowers, landscape and abstract paintings.  She also has a great blog to check out.

Rustic Retreat in North Carolina

Cashiers, North Carolina was once a rain forest and is set in a valley in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains.  This home is cozy and airy and very inviting - rustic yet refined.  The natural colors and large porch are my favorite parts of this home.

dr. delphinium

Things have been very busy lately, as we are planning our first wedding.  The wedding will be in May and I m loving all phases of the planning.  Had a meeting yesterday with a florist.  As I was waiting on my contact to see me, I couldn't resist taking a few pictures.

dr. delphinium designs and events has been in Dallas, TX for over 20 years and offers the most beautiful florals and events I've seen.  It was voted D Magazine "Best Florist in Dallas" for 2010.  I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with for our daughter's wedding. :}
