I love being a wife and mother of three beautiful children. I have been able to raise them at home for the past 19 years and with more free time I am beginning to blog about things I love.
I'd like to collect a few pieces from the shop, Ninainvorm. She is based in the Netherlands and she screen prints designs onto vintage ceramics and sells wonderful artwork.
Slowly, but surely we are getting all of our summer color into the gardens. This was a quick easy spot to fill in with bright, sunny marigolds. As we cleaned up and watered the new plants, Wes was ready for a cold drink!
I have quite an obsession with birds and found these lovelies this week. Original artwork, sterling silver jewelry and french pillows would all be lovely gifts for Mom.
1. Original 8 x 10 acrylic painting of parakeets at bigapple60.
2. Sterling silver necklace with sky blue freshwater pearls at LanaOCrystal.
3. Postcard bluebird french script pillow slip at JolieMarche.
After a quick trip to New Orleans this weekend I am still thinking of these wonderful pieces of art that we saw by Arturo Mallman in the gallery bienvenu. They are done with acrylic and resin on wood panels. Even more amazing in person.
I am usually not drawn to "formal" dining rooms but this one by Branca Interiors has a bit of all I love. The cream high back upholstered chairs with monogramming, flowing drapes and muted rugs are all favorites of mine. But the chandelier is what really won me over!
I was looking through a magazine this week and was immediately drawn to the ad for the new photography book by Tracy Raver and Kelly Ryden. Sleeping Beauties: Newborns in Dreamland was just released this April. These Nebraskan sisters have made a name for themselves taking adorable snoozing shots of infants that everyone would love. You must visit their blog as well. The precious photos go on and on!
Tuuni uses mainly vintage materials such as tablecloths, napkins, curtains, buttons, etc... and everything you see in her shop is designed and hand made by Tuija. Worth checking out.
1. White on white fabric baskets
2. Pillow cover with vintage lace
3. Embroidered fabric envelope
4. Pillow cover with vintage lace trim and initials
On our way to Carmel last week we spent a day and night in San Francisco. One of our most favorite cities, and I stumbled upon this precious tea room, Crown & Crumpet in Ghiradelli Square. Everything from the decor to the menu makes me happy! A destination tearoom know for top-quality food and excellent libations, all with the style and charm that one finds in modern day Britian. Next time you are in San Francisco I recommend you stop by.
